To begin with, this kitchen appliance is a 3 cup rice cooker. This is the smallest size that you can get. In fact some people term thsi size of machine as a single serving rice cooker. Now this sounds a bit misleading. It is not in fact a single serve rice cooker. It does offer you the option of cooking a single serving but you are more than able to prepare more than this. It accepts up to 3 cups of un-cooked white rice. This is enough to be able to provide food for up to five people. However to be honest, this size of machine is best for any of you that live alone as well as couples.
This rice cooker has an attractive stainless steel exterior. In fact it is the cheapest machine in the Zojirushi range to have this. There is one other appliance in this size range, the Zojirushi NP-GBC05 but this unit is actually about twice the price of the more reasonable NS-LAC05. That said, it has Zojirushi’s Induction Heating system which really does help to make the rice taste even better. Of course, both these machines are Micom rice cookers. Most of the goods that are being sold have this Micom functionality. It is a standard feature on all quality rice cookers and is certainly something you should aim to get.
